Project Coordinator

Rebat Kumar Dhakal, PhD in Education, currently serves as the Head of the Department of Educational Leadership at Kathmandu University School of Education. With deep expertise in (post) qualitative inquiry, school governance, and policy analysis, he plays a pivotal role in shaping education systems through evidence-based research and strategic advisory. He is a trusted member of multiple high-level expert committees, offering direct policy input to the Government of Nepal—particularly the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology—as well as to academic institutions across school education, technical and vocational education, and higher education. His collaborative engagements extend to civil society organizations and private sector stakeholders, fostering inclusive and multi-sectoral approaches to educational reform. He brings over 15 years of international experience in education and development, with a strong focus on education sector analysis, inclusive governance, and project leadership. His portfolio includes coordination and management of complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives such as TECSES (supported by the Finnish Government and the European Union), ERASMUS+, and other transnational programs. His research and project work center on educational leadership, responsible conduct of research, and policy impact. He is a recognized expert in design-based research (DBR), practical participatory evaluation, academic audit, and quality assurance in higher education institutions—making him a strategic asset in both policy formulation and implementation.
