Dr. Sarita Sachdeva holds a Master’s degree, M.Phil., and Ph.D. in Biosciences, with significant research contributions in surface water quality assessment, heavy metal pollution, and bioremediation. She has published extensively in reputed national and international journals and has authored technical reports, policy papers, books, and book chapters. She serves on the editorial boards and reviewer panels of international journals. She has been awarded major research projects funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) and has undertaken consultancy assignments for the State Governments of Haryana and Rajasthan, industries, and the Municipal Corporation of Faridabad, focusing on water quality monitoring and wastewater treatment. An innovator and entrepreneur, she holds a patent for a bio-formulation with bio-pesticide and bio-stimulant properties, leading to the establishment of M/s Tricho-Agronica Pvt. Ltd. under the Prime Minister’s Start-up Initiative, supported by IOCL R&D Centre, Faridabad.

She currently serves as Professor of Biotechnology, Executive Director, and Dean (Research) at Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS), Faridabad.
